Physical Therapist Assistant Technology

A major purpose of the Physical Therapy Assistant Technology program is to prepare graduates to assist physical therapists in healthcare settings to deliver physical therapy services in a safe, effective manner and to stimulate a lifelong commitment to continued professional development.

The PTA Program begins in the Spring Semester.

“Once part of the HolmesCC PTA Family, you are always our family.  Our alumni come back to graduation to support their family and see the faculty.  We go to each others weddings, celebrate birthdays, help clean up after tornados damage our homes, have pizza delivered to lab to work through lunch, meet each other in the ER for support until parents can get there, fix flat tires in the parking lot… We are FAMILY.”

MISSION

The mission of the Physical Therapist Assistant Department is to improve the quality of life in the community by implementing a quality education program to educate knowledgeable and marketable physical therapist assistants. The PTA Program believes that each student has potential for growth, is normally in a state of development and is open to learning new ideas. A major purpose of the PTA Program is to prepare graduates to assist physical therapists in healthcare settings to deliver physical therapy services in a safe, effective manner and to stimulate a lifelong commitment to continued professional development.
