Graduation Information

Apply for Graduation

To apply for graduation, you will need a login for our MyHolmes portal. Click the following button to sign up to be a part of the ceremony as a “marching” graduate. Graduation ceremonies are held only in May of each year on the Goodman Campus at the Frank Branch Coliseum. If you would just like for your diploma to be mailed to you, you can request that here as well.

If you would like to check the status of your graduation application, please click the “Apply for graduation” button, and then click “Check my Status” under the appropriate application type.

DEADLINE DATES TO APPLY | If you are marching, or not marching, you must apply by the below dates in order to be included in the ceremony and/or accompanying materials.

For December graduates, October 15
For May graduates, March 15
For Summer graduates, July 15

Graduation Ceremony and Fees

Marching

$60 non-refundable fee will be billed to student account for marching

The marching ceremony is held on the Goodman campus in May

Our ceremonies are live-streamed and available for friends and family members to view online. 

Information concerning cap, gown, and ticket pick-up, as well as graduation day logistics, will be sent to the marching graduates Holmes email accounts in mid-April.

Not Marching

  • $35 non-refundable fee will be billed to the student account for diploma cover, if selected (Please keep in mind that diploma covers are available for pick-up only and are not mailed. See the “Receiving my Diploma” section of Graduation FAQs for more information)
  • $15 non-refundable fee will be billed to the student account for diploma only

Am I close to graduating?

To check your progress toward graduation for an AA, AAS, or certificate, run your Degree Evaluation. If applying for an AA, you may also find a list of the required courses (AA Degree Checklist) by clicking on Need Help/Resources on the Registration page of the Holmes Community College website.


Graduating with honors

Honors, High Honors, and Highest Honors

Graduating students may be eligible to receive special recognition based on their overall quality point averages. These honors will be:

Highest Honors – for those students with a GPA of 4.0
High Honors – for those students with GPA’s of 3.7 to 3.99
Honors – for those students with GPA’s of 3.4 to 3.69


Replacement or Additional Diplomas

Students who receive multiple degrees/certificates in one term will only be mailed a diploma or certificate for the highest degree awarded. If you would like a copy of your additional diplomas or certificates, you will need to place a replacement diploma order through Parchment once degrees have been awarded by going to http://www.parchment.com/u/registration/34414/account.

Students who have misplaced their original diploma or certificate or would like another copy will also need to place a replacement diploma order through Parchment by going to http://www.parchment.com/u/registration/34414/account.

Each additional or replacement diploma ordered will cost $15 and is due at the time the order is placed. Replacement diploma orders include the diploma only and may take up to 6 weeks to receive.
