McMorrough Library is centrally located on the Goodman Campus of Holmes Community College. The present building was constructed in 1976 and contains a spacious main reading room, study rooms, offices, audiovisual, computer usage, and conference rooms. The Goodman Community Colege Network (CCN) is also housed in the library. The Mississippi Room, which includes a special collection of works written by Mississippians and/or about the state and its inhabitants, is also a part of McMorrough Library.

Reference librarians teach library research methods to classes of students and assist individual library users with reference questions, research assignments and the use of library resources. Student workers are also available to assist library users.
