Pre-Dental Hygiene

This curriculum is designed to meet the admission requirements of the School of Health-Related Professions at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. All programs at the Medical Center are upper-division. Students must complete all admission requirements before transferring. All programs at the Medical Center have a limited class size with competitive admissions. Students should start the application process early in their sophomore year. Students should consult the most recent Medical Center catalog when planning their schedule. Students must have a minimum of 57 transferable hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. A minimum grade of C is required on each course to be transferred. Students must also complete 8 hours of observation of a licensed or registered dental hygienist in a clinical environment. The curriculum below leads to an Associate of Arts Degree.
