Holmes Community College partners with the Society for Human Resource Management to offer the following classes on the Ridgeland campus:
- SHRM Learning System (preparing for PHR and SPHR exam)
- Essentials of Human Resource Management - for those new to the HR field
The 2008 SHRM Learning System will be offered:
Saturdays, July 26-October 18 (9:00a.m.-12:00p.m.) OR Mondays, August 18-November 10 (5:30p.m.-8:30p.m.) both at the McGowan Workforce Training Center located on the Ridgeland Campus of Holmes Community College.

(SPHR) certification exams.
If you have been planning to enhance your HR skills and knowledge and prepare for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation, now is the time to enroll in our fall 2008 SHRM Learning System Course.
The program is offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The curriculum covers the 2008 HRCI body of knowledge which develops HR competencies and decision-making skills. As part of your tuition you will receive the internationally recognized SHRM Learning System which includes workbooks, software and online tools.
The McGowan Center was recently recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management for achieving a 100% pass rate on the PHR December 2007-January 2008 exam. And was also recognized by SHRM for more than doubling SHRM Learning System enrollments during the April 2007-March 2008 academic year.

Holmes Community College is now offering The SHRM Essentials of Human Resources Management Certificate course specifically designed to provide the skills you need to confidently face today's complex HR situations and handle compliance issues within your organization. Register today for The SHRM Essentials of Human Resources Management Certificate course offered by Holmes. Classes to be offered soon. Please check this website often for the 2008 Fall course dates. Classes will be held at the D.P. "Pat" McGowan Workforce Training Center in Ridgeland, MS. Registration fee is $295, which includes text book and web access.
