Workforce - Goodman Courses

                        Electrical Lineman Training Course--Goodman, Mississippi
    
    This course will be taught at the Goodman Campus in Goodman, Mississippi. The training course will meet 8 hours per day, for 16 weeks, for a total of 608 clock hours. The course begins on August 18, 2008 and will end on December 11, 2008. A maximum of 15 participants will be accepted. Qualified workers in this field are in demand. This hands-on course is taught by instructors with lineman experience and specialized education.

In order to be accepted into this course interested students must:
    * Pass a drug test
    * Pass a DOT physical
    * Obtain a high school diploma or GED certificate
    * Be at least 18 years of age
            Additional requirements given at a later date 

    The Electrical Lineman Training program at Holmes Community College is a consortium of 3 rural electric cooperatives who select participants for training. They are: Delta Electric Power Association in Greenwood, Mississippi; Twin County Electric Power Association in Hollandale, Mississippi; and Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association in Yazoo City, Mississippi.
