Heating, Ventilation, Air Cond. & Refrig. Technology
Heating and Air-Conditioning Technology is an articulated certificate/technical instructional program that prepares individuals to work in engineering department or private firms installing, maintaining and operating small or medium air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems. Instruction prepares individuals to work in a commercial organization performing special tasks relating to designing ductwork, assembly, installation, servicing, operation, and maintenance of heating and cooling systems according to the standards of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers and Air Conditioning Refrigeration Institute (ARI). Inluded are air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration devices; equipment, techniques, and systems; and maintenance and operation of these systems.
Mission Statement: The goal of the Heating and Air Conditioning Technology program is to prepare students for all aspects of society. Not only will a student learn a valuable trade, he or she will be able to make an impact on society by achieving leadership skills, personal relations skills, and a good moral attitude. The instructor will assist these students in achieving these goals by providing adequate instructions and thorough lessons and instilling self-confidence in the student.
