The Department of Health and Physical Education, staffed with a qualified and experienced faculty, endeavors to meet the needs of students and the community in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. The programs of the Department of Health and Physical Education are consistent and comparable with the major four-year colleges and universities throughout the state, offering a seamless, successful transfer to these other institutions after completion of the two-year curriculum.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Physical Education Department is to offer University transferable courses leading to the Associate of Arts Degree, and to provide lifelong knowledge in health, physical education, and recreation. The Physical Education Department also inspires its students to lifelong physical fitness and all concepts of health to improve their quality of life.
