PreCore Studies

Mission Statement and Goals

The mission of the PreCore Studies Program at Holmes Community College is to prepare students for academic success in college-level courses through precore content areas of reading, writing, and/or mathematics.

Holmes Community College will strive to achieve this mission by committing to the following goals:

Encourage and train highly qualified, student-centered instructors to utilize various teaching strategies.
Provide students with faculty tutoring, placement testing services and computer aided instruction.
Maintain high expectations of students in their involvement of academic success.
