Soccer - Freedom Ridge Park
3/25/2005 - The Chicago Fire recently hosted the NY/NJ Metrostars at Ridgeland’s Freedom Ridge Park which is also home to the Holmes Bulldogs. Roughly 6,000 local fans including Holmes players and their families took time away from their busy schedules to enjoy the game. “It’s a testament to the condition in which the Ridgeland Department of Parks and Recreation keeps this facility. It’s a first class facility with a first class playing surface.” Said Holmes head coach Matt Convertino. “We couldn’t be prouder to call Freedom Ridge our home field. We have access to the complex’s 6 v 6 and 4 v 4 fields when we need to play small sided games as well as the full size fields. The players love coming out here everyday for practice as well as games.”
