Danny Robertson, Head Coach Phone: 662- 472-9047 Email: drobertson@holmescc.edu Danny Robertson, formely Athletic Director, football coach and counselor at Durant High School, serves as offensive coordinator. Before becoming offensive coordinator, Robertson served as volunteer football coach and assistant coach for both the men's and women's basketball programs, as well as vocational counselor on the Goodman Campus.
Robertson received both a bachelor's and master's degree at Ole Miss in health, physical education, and recreation and a master's degree in secondary school counseling at Louisiana Tech. While at Ole Miss, he played linebacker from 1978-1982. He was then a graduate assistant at Ole Miss from 1983-1985, before going to Louisiana Tech from 1987-1988, where he was graduate assistant and tightend coach.
In football, Robertson coached from 1996-2003 claiming two North State Champions in 2000 and 2001 and two region championsips the same years. He had two division championships in 1996 and 1997. Robertson's teams made six semi-final appearances and eight playoff appearances.
Robertson and his wife, Bronwyn, who also works for Holmes and their sons, Tanner and Brister, live on the Goodman Campus.
Tim Bell, Defensive Line Coach Phone: 662- 472-9078 Email: tbell@holmescc.edu Before being named defensive line coach this season, Kosciusko native Tim Bell was offensive line coach. Before that he served as the Director of Alumni Affairs and volunteer football coach. Bell came to the Goodman Campus from Merchants and Farmers Bank in Ridgeland where he was a loan officer.
Bell is a 1997 graduate of Koscuisko where he was All-State in 1996 and was named to the Dandy Dozen team in 1996. He was District Lineman of the Year in 1996 and was All-District in 1995 and 1996 and was selected to play in the Mississippi / Alabama All-Star game in 1997. After graduating from Kosciusko, he came to Holmes from August 1997 until December 1998.
At Holmes, he was named All-State both in 1997 and 1998. He was a NCJAA All-American 1998 as well as a JC Gridwire All-American the same year. He was also the Ras Branch Award winner in 1998. In December 1998, he transferred to the University of South Carolina, where he graduated in December 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and management.
Tim enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing during his leisure time.
Trac Baughn, Assistant Coach, Defensive Coordinator Phone: 662- 472-9077 Email: tbaughn@holmescc.edu Sixth year Holmes assistant, Trac Baughn, comes to the Bulldogs with a rich coaching background that includes myriad assignments on both the secondary and college levels.
Baughn received his Bachelor degree from Millsaps College, where he was a four year letterman in Football and Baseball. After graduation he coached at Canton Academy, Tri-County Academy, and Tallulah High School, LA before entering the college ranks at Delta State University. Baughn received his Masters degree at Delta State before accepting a position on the football staff at Austin Peay State University. He later returned to Mississippi, coaching at East Mississippi Community College for five seasons along with stops at Meridian High School and Wayne County High School. Baughn has two son’s, Tanner (10) and Will (7) who both reside in Goodman.
Wade Henderson, Assistant Coach, Linebackers Phone: 662- 472-9133 Email: jhenderson@holmescc.edu Former Holmes Community College standout Wade Henderson has joined the Holmes Community College Bulldog coaching staff as an assistant coach in charge of the linebackers.
The Ackerman native was an All-State offensive lineman for the Bulldogs in the 80s serving most recently as the defensive coordinator at Richland High School. He has coached for 15 years in high schools in Mississippi and Alabama. He was head coach at Loyd Star before being defensive coordinator at Ocean Springs, Petal, Florence, Richland and an assistant at Columbus, Northwest Rankin and Sylacauga, Ala.
After leaving Holmes, Henderson, 40, played football at Southern Arkansas University and Millsaps College. After college, he played two seasons of minor league professional football in Gadsden, Ala., for the Alabama Raiders.
He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Mississippi State University. He also attended Millsaps College and Southern Arkansas University.
Henderson and his wife, Tammy, who is vice president of lending at the Mississippi Public Health Workers Federal Credit Union, have one son, Magnum, 17 months.
J. Mike Misita, Assistant Coach, Offensive Line Phone: 662- 472-9077 Email: mmisita@holmescc.edu Mike Misita is no stranger to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges. For the past 10 football seasons the Amite, La., native has served as an assistant coach at Mississippi Delta Community College serving as offensive coordinator.
During the spring semester, he most recently served as health/physical education instructor and assistant coach at East Mississippi Community College. He was also the wellness director in the Student Activities Center and sports information director.
Misita will serve as offensive line coach for the Bulldogs and health/physical education instructor.
Prior to coming to the community college system, Misita, 49, served as head coach at Oxford Junior High School and a graduate assistant at Northeast La. University. He then served as offensive line/defensive line coach at five schools in Louisiana --- Natchitoches, Ponchatoula, Jesuit, Destrehan and Brother Martin.
Misita holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from The University of Mississippi.
Misita and his wife, Cindy, who is MTFP program director in The University of Mississippi Education Department, have two children, Joseph, 24, and Micah, 21, both students at Ole Miss.
