Assuming the duties Holmes Community College Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Jason Flanigan helped guide the Bulldogs to two back-to-back State Championships in 2006 and 2007 as an assistant under former Head Coach Todd Kimble. Also, a former standout basketball player at The University of Mississippi, Flanigan was a member of the most winning senior class in Ole Miss Basketball history with 88 victories.
Flanigan, a Little Rock Arkansas native, joined the Bulldogs in 2005, after two seasons as Assistant Coach at Xavier University in New Orleans. During his first season (2003-2004), the Gold Rush where Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Champs and appeared in the NAIA National Tournament. Also, during the 2004-2005 season, Flanigan helped lead the Gold Rush to a second NAIA National Tournament appearance.
Prior to Xavier, Flanigan served as a Graduate Assistant Coach under Coach Barnes at Ole Miss, after completing his playing career. Flanigan assisted the Coordinator of Basketball Operations and helped monitor the academic progress of the players, as well as assisted in film exchange.
While playing four seasons at Ole Miss, the Rebels posted winning records and advanced to the postseason each year (3 NCAA, 1 NIT). He was also a member of the 1998 and 2001 Ole Miss squads that claimed the Southeastern Conference Western Division titles. He played in 127 career games and averaged 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds. The 127 games played are the third most by a Rebel in the program’s history.
Jason Flanigan dished out 302 assists, which is the seventh most in Ole Miss Basketball history. During his 2000-01 senior year, he hit a free throw with 0:02 on the clock to seal a 59-56 NCAA Tournament second-round victory over Notre Dame and propelled Ole Miss to the program’s first "Sweet Sixteen" appearance. Flanigan graduated from University of Mississippi (May 2001) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Leisure Management.
In high school at Parkview Arts & Science Magnet School, Flanigan was a standout player for his father Coach Al Flanigan. He earned ALL-State honors following his senior year, and played in two Arkansas State Title games as a junior (Runner-up) and sophomore (Championship). Also, his older brother, Wes, is the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at The University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Flanigan’s wife, the former Kisha Fields of Memphis, TN, is an educator for the Madison County School District.

In his second year as a Bulldogs Assistant Coach, Jason Harrison was a former standout player for the University of Mississippi and was the lone member of his senior class with the second most wins in school history with 86 victories.
Before joining the Bulldog family Jason coached two AAU basketball teams:17 and under Arkansas Hawks and 11 year-old Arkansas All-Stars, while working for the Arkansas Democrat Gazette as a District Sales Manager for the past three years.
While in high school at Parkview Arts and Science Magnet school, Jason Harrison was a member of the All Sophomore team in 1996. He was also named Mr. Basketball of Arkansas in 1998 while earning MVP at the 1998 All-Star game, MVP of three tournaments his senior year; and played in two State Championships during his high school tenure (Champions in 1998 and runner-up in 1996).
Jason Harrison was an All SEC performer in 2000-2001, he is the second player in Ole Miss History with 1,000 points and over 400 assist (Coach Rod Barnes the other). He lettered from 1998-2002 with the record for the most games played in Ole Miss history (132), third in steals all-time (172), third in assist all-time (427), fourth all-time in free throw percentage (82%), and fourth in 3-point field goals made (163).
Jason Harrison is a Little Rock native who also played basketball for Coach Al Flanigan, Jason Flanigan’s father. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in English.
